DISCRETE REVOLUTION exhibit 8
By 1988, after years of French only signs and language in the Province of Quebec, Anglophones in Montreal felt that they wanted something in return. Unlike the hundreds of thousands who left in the previous 10 years, including companies such as, Cadbury, sun life, and McDonald Tobacco, those that remained have started to adapt. Most of these Anglophones send there children to French immersion schools and many are immersed in the French culture. Despite the assimilation of the English and French, the English are still happy that the supreme court of Canada struck down the only sign previsions of Bill 101
